2020 Virtual Fall Conference – October 29 & 30
This year’s Fall Conference will be held virtually with the assistance of the OBA technical staff. The Committee Chairs are finalizing their programs and speakers at this time. The Fall Conference will provide three half-day sessions covering the areas of advocacy, solicitor work, and EDI, with the intention of providing professionalism, substantive and EDI credits. We hope this program will appeal to all members, whether you specialize in litigation, family, estates, criminal, labour, or corporate.
The keynote speaker at 9:00am on October 29th will be the Hon. Justice David Brown, Court of Appeal Ontario. He will be speaking on the current state of litigation in Ontario, as well as commenting on the effects of COVID-19 on the courts, lawyers and their clients.
On October 30th at 9:00am Mr. Harold Johnson, author, lawyer and former prosecutor, will be the keynote speaker. He will be speaking on the effects of alcohol on Indigenous communities, the wider community and the justice system.
